There’s 2 ways to solve this:
1) draw the separate spaces with the surface tool (2nd construction icon) You can remove the name of the auto-generated floor by deleteing the floor name in the menu.
2) Use an opening/entryway from the doors in the sidebar. This will keep the wall intact but create a hole of which you can set the dimensions.
